Haiku

Haiku is an operating system inspired by BeOS. BeOS was a very responsive, multi-threaded operating system produced by Be Inc. before they went out of business in 2001. BeOS/Haiku is the incredibly cool operating system that we have been using at The Coil for a number of years. Why is the operating system called Haiku? From my point of view it is because Haiku is pure poetry running on your computer. The file system is very advanced and easy to use, boot times are quick and above all it is open sourced so there is no cost and we can tailor it to our specific needs. What more could the leader of an organization what? Because Haiku developments are important, I will be blogging about them here. I will also be blogging about any contributions I make to the Haiku cause.
